Canvassing Update

I went for a walk yesterday knocking on doors in Ward 1 with Joel Rowswell, Josh Vierimaa, Bill a campaign volunteer, a young man and a young lady also volunteers. Thanks to all of you.

My slogan is "Listening and Ready to Serve".

What did I learn from the people who were willing to share? We will come back to this...

What I learned from the people that were less willing to share is more concerning, not going to vote, nothing will change, doesn't matter who is in office. Less than 40% of the eligible voting public in our community exercise the right in a municipal election. It occurs to me that these people have concerns they are willing to share, but they have given up.

I guess I can't blame them for is opinion, it may seem hopeless.

THE ONLY WAY TO BRING ABOUT CHANGE IS TO VOTE FOR CHANGE, MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD. OUR COMMUNITY HAS THIS OPPORTUNITY ON OCTOBER 26, 2026.

PLEASE VOTE!

Now, thank you to the people that shared. Take a deep breath, this is not hard to understand.

Our community wants to get back to the basics. Stop the unnecessary spending, concentrate on our infrastructure, community safety, increased Police presence, affordable housing, homelessness and addiction support.

Speaking as a homeowner in this community, my taxes go up, I pay more for PUC, where does it go?

Let's put this purse to better use and start spending responsibly, even it if means a freeze on the frills for a couple of years to recover. Let me know your thoughts.
